Within each year, upper figures show predicted FDI maps and lower figures (FDI + hotspot) show maps of predicted FDI (from red to brown) together with observed MODIS hotspots (in purple) for the corresponding month and year. FDI was scaled as follows: Low: FDI < 25; Medium: FDI = 25 to 50; High: FDI = 50 to 75; Very high: FDI = 75 to 100; and Extreme: FDI > 100
