Distribution of area burned due to forest fires in Turkey between 1998 and 2018, based on statistics published by the forestry administration, and used in our 2019 review comparing Turkish practices with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) guide’s criteria. There was no significant decrease in the last 20 years in terms of fire size, which emphasizes that the State should take more effective measures
