Seasonal fluctuations of soil water repellency and soil wetness measured at the soil surface, 2 cm, and 4 cm depths from November 2002 to July 2006 in grass-converted and mixed chaparral watersheds. Measurements for 2 November 2002 and 3 March 2003 were taken in similar watersheds adjacent to the study watersheds. Error bars for soil wetness represent one standard deviation of the mean. Error bars not shown for 2 cm depth as they are the same as the soil surface.
