Spatial distribution of vegetation types burned during the Tripod Fire Complex. Burned area is defined using the NIFC fire perimeter. Grasslands, shrublands, and open pine stands are found in the eastern sections of the fire area, while dense, closed conifer stands are located in the central and eastern sections of the fire area. Note the finer scale vegetation classifications associated with the more recently produced maps (FCCS2, LANDFIRE FLM, OkWen custom fuelbeds).
