Each of the values in the diagonal line of cells, shown in bold from top left to bottom right, is the area that burned with the same severity in both the first and second entries, and represent those areas that we are calling “in agreement.” The sum of these values is the agreement between initial and subsequent fire severity as the proportion of the area that burned twice.
