Fire severity map for 32 fires occurring within the boundaries of Sierra de San Pedro Mártir National Park, 1984 to 2010. Fire severity is based on BA change. Within the fire polygons, darker green represent unchanged (0% change), light green represents low severity fire (>0% to <25% change), yellow represents moderate severity fire (≥25% to <90% change), and red represents high severity fire (≥90% change). Almost all high severity fire occurred in chaparral vegetation.
