Plot locations are shown with colored dots that correspond with the forest type of each plot (TSME = mountain hemlock, ABMA = red fir, PICO = lodgepole pine, MIXED CON = mixed conifer), and dot size corresponds with the percent of trees in each plot that established between 1880 and 1920. Fires mapped around the turn of the twentieth century are also shown (Leiberg 1900).
