Exclosures had more chamise resprouts than the surrounding area nine months after mastication in plot 1 (top). Despite shrub height being significantly different in exclosures, exclosures had cover similar to their surrounding environment and browsing did not influence shrub cover (Potts et al. 2010). The differences in shrub cover and height diminished by two and a half years after treatment.
