Percent change in mortality model accuracies by species between the Ryan and Amman FOFEM model and new A) pre-fire and B) post-fire mortality models. Positive numbers reflect an increase in accuracy over FOFEM; negative numbers reflect a decrease in accuracy. For evaluating how well the model classified trees as either live or dead, we assumed that a tree with a predicted probability of mortality value greater than or equal to 0.5 was dead and less than 0.5 was alive (i.e., cutoff = 0.5).
