The wind vector output from WindNinja depicts the response of wind speed and direction to topography in the VALL. This figure depicts an incoming wind direction of 245 degrees and a speed of 24 km hr−1. Notice how wind direction curves through the Valle Jaramillo and between the Cerro del Abrigo and the Cerros del Medio. This input to FlamMap simulates fire pathways with more accuracy.
