Table 2 Mean (± standard error) biomass (dry weight; g) of Shumard oak and white oak seedlings grown from unburned acorns (Unburned), single fuel load treatment acorns (Single), and the mean biomass from both treatments (Mean). Although there was no difference in biomass between fuel load treatments, and no species and fuel load treatment interaction, we did identify differences in mean biomass between Shumard and white oaks, independent of fuel load treatment.
