Table 4 Diameter at breast height (DBH) and heat content (HC) were used to calculate the energy release of assumed and measured available fine live fuel. DBH statistics were gathered from the USDA Forest Service, Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) program for the counties where each species was collected. HC was measured in our laboratory
