Shown are the centroids of pixels where thermal anomalies were detected at 1 km² spatial resolution, with a detection confidence that estimates its quality (low-confidence fire, medium-confidence fire, or high-confidence fire). For the present analysis, only those hotspots with a high-confidence level (>80 %) were selected. Also represented are the buffers where the non-fire spots were selected.
