  1. 1 Low-intensity early growing-season prescribed fire was implemented in “fire only” and “improvement cut with fire” treatments in 2001, 2005, 2007, and 2009. “Improvement cut” treatment killed trees deemed undesirable for wildlife and allowed approximately 30% sunlight into those stands.
