Authors who publish open access in Fire Ecology are required to pay an article processing charge (APC). The APC price will be determined from the date on which the article is accepted for publication.
Association for Fire Ecology members receive 20% discount for Original Research articles, Reviews, Forum articles, and Monographs. To receive this discount, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for the SpringerOpen membership account number before submitting your paper. See page 2 of these instructions for more information on how to submit your paper using a membership account number.
The current APC, subject to VAT or local taxes where applicable, for Original Research, Reviews, Forums, and Monographs is: £1790.00/$2490.00/€2090.00.
Book reviews, Classic Reprints, Field Notes, and Technical Notes are subject to an APC of £905.00/$1420.00/€1150.00.
An article accepted with a SAFE chapter student members or ECRs (defined as being within one year of award of their PhD degree) as the first author will receive a voucher for free access to any Springer publication in eBook form (up to a maximum value of USD/EUR 250 and maximum one per year) in perpetuity.
